Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data NHN Consulting collects through nhnconsulting.com and its subdomains, why we collect it, and your rights over it. We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and we apply the same standards to visitors from the USA and elsewhere.
Who is responsible
NHN Consulting, founded and owned by Liyana van Wyk, is the data controller. Contact: hello@nhnconsulting.com.
What we collect and why
- Contact and Diagnosis forms. Name, email, phone, business details and anything you write to us. Used to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare your Diagnosis. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract.
- Newsletter and free tools. Name and email, stored in Systeme.io, so we can send you what you signed up for. Lawful basis: consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Analytics and advertising. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and the Pinterest Tag to understand how the site is used and to measure our own advertising. These set cookies and may record your device, pages viewed and actions such as a form submission. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, and consent where the law requires it.
- WhatsApp and phone. If you message or call us, we hold your number and the conversation to deal with your enquiry.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site and our communications: our web host, Systeme.io, Google, Meta, Pinterest, Metricool and Zoom. Some of these process data outside the UK under standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. We never sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries for up to two years after the last contact. Newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Client records for six years after the engagement ends, for tax and legal reasons. Analytics data for the retention period set in each tool, currently 14 months in Google Analytics.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@nhnconsulting.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Essential cookies make the site work. Analytics and advertising cookies from the tools above help us measure and improve. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.

The Digital Footprint Framework™, the Diagnosis, the Footprint Scan and every NHN course and programme were created by Liyana van Wyk, founder and owner of NHN Consulting, and are her intellectual property. All rights reserved. No part may be copied, resold, taught or adapted without her written permission.

NHN Consulting is an affiliate of Systeme.io and Metricool. We earn commissions on qualifying sign-ups made through our links. We disclose these where they appear. This does not affect the price you pay or the services you receive.
